• MINUTES
REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
SEPTEMBER 9, 1985
The Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 7:30.P.M. by
Chairman Al Stefanson.
Stefanson, Grittner, Olson, Finegan, Wallin, Black and Trent-Sullivan.
Northrop and Mead.
Olson moved, seconded by Grittner, approval of-the August 5, 1985
Planning Commission Minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Alice M. Robertson, 1741 Holton, requested a variance to replace an
existing driveway. She presented a letter from her neighbor, Eunice
Boehlke, 1735 Holton, having no objections. She also presented
a sketch of the area where the driveway will be replaced. Ms.
Robertson voiced objection to the variance requirement and felt it
should be covered under a grandfather clause. She advised she
intends to voice her objection to T.he City Council. Finegan and
Wallin sympathized with her point and Wallin suggested she point
out page 184 of Ordinance 205 to the City Council. After further
discussion, Finegan moved, seconded by Olson, approval of the
• variance request. Motion carried unanimously.
Chairman Stefanson advised that the use of industrial revenue bonds
had been approved for the acreage around city hall (Moder/Hawkins
property). This will allow the prospective builder to move ahead with
construction this fall. Construction has commenced with the installation
of the sewers on the University of Minnesota retirees home (1666 Coffman).
Next meeting will be October 7, 1985.
Olson moved, seconded by Finegan to adjourn the meeting at 7:54 P.M.
V y G~G~
rry llin, Secretary
PRESENT
ABSENT
MINUTES OF
8/5/85 APPROVED
ALICE M.
ROBERTSON,
1741 HOLTON,
VARIANCE
REQUEST
APPROVED
AD30URNMENT
•
