RESOLUTION NO. 2015 - 1 <br /> A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br /> 147TH STREET/ONEKA LAKE BOULEVARD STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, by a motion passed by the council on December 21, 2015, the City Engineer was <br /> directed to prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the 147th Street/Oneka Lake <br /> Boulevard Street Improvement Project. <br /> WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br /> improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed <br /> or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as <br /> recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for <br /> affected parcels. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The council will consider the improvement of <br /> a. 147th Street/Oneka Lake Boulevard from Geneva Avenue to Goodview Avenue <br /> and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement <br /> of$1,300,000. <br /> 2. A hearing shall be held on the 7th day of March, 2016 at City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald <br /> Avenue North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and place <br /> all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to <br /> be heard with reference to the proposed improvements. <br /> 3. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed project to <br /> be published twice in the official newspaper, with the second notice to be at least three days <br /> prior to the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed, <br /> the general nature of the improvements, and the total estimated cost of the improvement. <br /> She shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel in the proposed <br /> assessment area not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing. <br /> Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br /> Council members voting NAY: None <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1St day of February, 2016. <br /> Tom Weidt, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 'A ��l <br /> Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
