CITY OF HUGO <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />TO: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />FROM: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Replacement of the Building Department's <br />2006 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Truck #113-06 <br />DATE: For the City Council Meeting of March 7, 2016 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Included in the City's 2016 General Budget is funding for the replacement of the Building <br />Department's '/2 ton pickup truck. This truck would replace the department's aging 2006 <br />Chevrolet 1500. <br />Midway Ford has been awarded the contract with the State of Minnesota to supply % ton Ford <br />pickup trucks. A price was quoted by Midway to supply a 2016 Ford F150 4x4 extended cab. <br />This truck is very similar to the current truck being driven by the Building Department and is <br />priced at $29,119.24 (includes tax and license) as allowed through the Cooperative Purchasing <br />Venture with the State of Minnesota. Please see the attached quote from Midway Ford. <br />The cost of this truck is as expected and staff has budgeted appropriately for the replacement. <br />DESIRED ACTION <br />Staff recommends that council authorize the purchase of the % ton truck from Midway Ford <br />through the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a price of $29,119.24. <br />
