About this Report <br />The Metropolitan Council recognizes that water supply planning is an integral component of long-term <br />regional and local comprehensive planning. The Council has implemented a number of projects to <br />provide a base of technical information needed to make sound water supply decisions. <br />This report summarizes the result of work to assist in water supply planning for the Metropolitan Area <br />which meets the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Section 473.1565, Subdivision 1, which calls for <br />the Council to "carry out planning activities addressing the water supply needs of the metropolitan area <br />as defined in Section 473.121, Subdivision 2.0 <br />The report is organized into 11 sections. The introduction (Section 1.0) provides an overview of the <br />Council and the need for the project. The following 10 sections discuss methods and results.
