MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY AUGUST 18, 2014 Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: Bronk, Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, Finance Director Ron Otkin, Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse, and City Clerk Michele Lindau City Council Meeting on August 4, 2014 (and Discussion on Atkinson Mining Permit) Haas stated that he received a call from Ruby Atkinson who asked that, before the minutes are approved, Council reconsider the vote from the last meeting on the Atkinson Mining Permit. The permit had been approved with a change to the permitted haul routes. Mike Atkinson, 5560 140th Street North, stated that they were not happy with the change because they sometimes need to go north, and the route would be much longer if unable to use 152nd Street. He stated he has only made 2-3 trips on that road so far this year and approximately five trips last year. He questioned who else was hauling on that road. Haas stated he did not think the permit should be changed from what was approved at the last meeting. Becky made motion, Bronk seconded, to reconsider the vote on the Atkinson Mining Permit, in regard to the approved haul route, to be considered at a future meeting. All Ayes. Motion carried. Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting on August 4, 2014 as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried. National Night Out/Community Night Out on August 5, 2014 Bronk made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for National Night Out and Community Night Out events on August 5, 2014, as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried. Oneka Ridge Golf Course Stormwater Reuse Proiect Tour on August 8, 2014 Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the Oneka Ridge Golf Course Stormwater Reuse Project Tour on August 8, 2014 as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried.
