Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 20, 2013 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />Klein made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the purchase agreement for the former <br />Carpenters property. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to amend the motion to allow for staff to make changes, if <br />necessary, to enhance the purchase price or terms of the agreement. <br />Vote on amendment - <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Vote on motion as amended - <br />Ayes: Petryk, Haas, Bronk, Klein, Weidt <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein provided Council an update on the City of Hugo's <br />Yellow Ribbon Network (YRN) activities. The YRN has received a Certificate of Appreciation <br />from soldiers in Kuwait. Hamburger Night Wednesday, May 22, 2013 will be sponsored by the <br />Hugo Business Association Networking Group. The YRN contributed to Gold Star Weekend. <br />The Hugo American Legion will hold memorial services on Monday, May 26, 2013 in <br />observance of Memorial Day. A golf outing is being planned and donations are being accepted <br />for the next care packaging event. <br />Road Striping on TH61 in Front of US Bank <br />Council Member Haas added this to the agenda to talk about the striping in the center of TH61 in <br />front of the US bank. The portion that is striped is narrower than a car, and cars traveling south <br />turning into US Bank are being passed on the right illegally. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to direct the City Engineer to look into it and look at <br />alternatives to the current striping. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Vacancy on the Brown's Creek Watershed District <br />City Administrator informed the Council that the City has been notified of a vacancy on the <br />Brown's Creek Watershed District. Anyone living in this district and interested in serving on the <br />Board should contact the City or Washington County. <br />EDA Interviews and City Administrator Performance Review on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear provided a reminder to the Council of the scheduled interviews <br />for the vacancy on the EDA and the City Administrators performance review for Tuesday, May <br />21, 2013. The interviews will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the review to follow at approximately 8:00 <br />p.m. <br />
