Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for June 17, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />Washington County Sheriffs Department Annual Report - Commander Cheri Dexter and <br />Chief Deputy Dan Starry <br />Chief Deputy Dan Starry presented to the Council the Washington County Sheriff's Department <br />Annual Report. Also in attendance were Commander Cheri Dexter and Sergeant Wayne Johnson. <br />Deputy Starry provided an overview of the Sheriff's Office, which employs 238.5 full time <br />employees. He reviewed the statistics, which basically showed a decrease in crime from last <br />year. The Council and the Sheriff's Department discussed their work with the schools, mental <br />health issues, and training with fire departments and medics. The Council complimented <br />Sergeant Wayne Johnson, who has been working in Hugo for the past three years and providing <br />good coverage for the City's tax dollars. <br />Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to accept the Washington County Sheriff's Report for <br />2012. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Donation to the Yellow Ribbon Network - Mark Schwope <br />Mark Schwope, Keller Williams Realty, joined the Yellow Ribbon Network (YRN) last year as a <br />business sponsor. He graciously provided/donated all the refreshments for the Sea of Goodwill <br />award ceremony last December. Mark will be presenting a donation to the YRN, but was unable <br />to attend this meeting. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to table this item until the next meeting. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda items: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Pay Request No. 10 to Municipal Builders, Inc. for Well House No.6 <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 10 to Municipal Builders, Inc. for Well House No.6 <br />The City has received Pay Request No. 10 from Municipal Builders, Inc. for work on Well <br />House No. 6. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have <br />
