Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 5, 2013 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Notice of Vacancy on the Brown's Creek Watershed District <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed the Council that the City received notice the Brown's <br />Creek Watershed District is accepting nominees for consideration to fill two terms of office that <br />will be expiring on October 21, 2013. Anyone interested in serving on the Brown's Creek <br />Watershed District should contact the City for an application. Application deadline is August 23, <br />2013. <br />National Night Out/Community Night Out Tuesdav, August 6, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council that National Night Out was scheduled for <br />Tuesday, August 6, 2013. As part of National Night Out, the Hugo Business Association (HBA) <br />will be holding Community Night Out from 5-8 p.m. at Lions Park. At its July 1, 2013 meeting, <br />the Council scheduled this as a meeting to participate in the event. He informed Council that the <br />Fire Department was requesting the Council meet at the Fire Hall at 6:50 p.m. for a 7 p.m. <br />departure to visit various neighborhood Night Out events. <br />Update on National Recycling, Inc. and Executive Session <br />Staff has been monitoring the progress concerning scrap removal at NRI. Council discussed this <br />at their July 15, 2013 meeting and agreed to table an executive session to talk about possible <br />litigation, and to give NRI additional time to continuing working on their transition plan. City <br />Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the owner does continue to cooperate in <br />moving scrap, and progress is being made on a daily basis. <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to table the executive session on National Recycling. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Adjournment <br />Bronk made motion, Klein seconded, to adjourn at 8:44 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
