Motion carried. <br />Schedule City Holiday Party Thursday, December 6, 2012 <br />Annually, the City of Hugo selects a date on which to hold the City of Hugo's annual holiday <br />party for Council, Commission, and City staff. The Hugo American Legion banquet room is <br />available on Thursday, December 6, 2012. <br />Petryk made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule the City's Annual Holiday Party for Thursday, <br />December 6, 2012 beginning with Social Hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried <br />Schedule Date for Board of Canvas Meeting <br />On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, the City of Hugo will participate in the General Election <br />including Council Member Ward 2, Council Member at Large and Mayoral races. As Council is <br />aware, the results of the voting at the General Election needs to be certified by the City of Hugo <br />acting as the Board of Canvass. State Statute requires canvassing to be done between the 3rd and <br />10th day following the General Election. Staff asked Council select a date between Friday, <br />November 9th and Friday, November 16th on which to hold the Board of Canvas meeting. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule the Board of Canvas for November 9, 2012 at <br />8:00 am at Hugo City Hall. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried <br />Clarification on Letter from Joyce Dumer on Lake Air/Bald Eagle Estates Improvement <br />Project Assessment Hearing <br />At its October 1, 2012 meeting, the Council held a public hearing on the assessments for the <br />Bald Eagle/Lake Air Estates improvement project. A letter submitted by Joyce Dumer was <br />discussed at the public hearing. Council Member Petryk clarified comments that were made <br />regarding the letter, which referred to corner lots. Per the City's assessment policy, a corner lot <br />is charged half the assessment. Council Member Petryk stated that this would be made clearer to <br />residents on future assessments. <br />Adjournment <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to adjourn at 10:00 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
