MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY JANUARY 3, 2011 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Community Development Director Bryan <br />Bear, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, City Attorney Dave Snyder, and City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Oaths of Office <br />On November 2, 2010 the City of Hugo held its municipal elections with races for Mayor, <br />Councilmember Ward 1, and Councilmember Ward 3. Mayor Fran Miron was successfully <br />reelected as Mayor of the City of Hugo, Becky Petryk as Councilmember Ward 1, and Chuck <br />Haas as Councilmember Ward 3. City Clerk Michele Lindau administered the Oath of Office to <br />Fran Miron, Becky Petryk, and Chuck Haas. <br />Moment of Silence for James F. Lammers <br />Mayor Fran Miron called for a moment of silence in thoughtful memory of the passing of James <br />F. Lammers, co-founder of Eckberg, Lammers, Briggs, Wolff & Vierling Law Firm. City <br />Attorney Dave Snyder spoke of Jim's work ethic and value system saying he will be deeply <br />missed. Jim Lammers was 69 years old. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Haas made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Minutes for the City Council Meeting on December 20, 2010 <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on December 20, 2010 as presented. <br />All Ayes.
