MINUTES FOR THE I-35 W/E COALITION MEETING <br />Tuesday, February 23 - 7:00 p.m. <br />Oneka Room - Hugo City Hall <br />Present: Mayor Fran Miron, Council Members Becky Petryk, Phil Klein, and Tom Weidt <br />Absent: Chuck Haas <br />Others Present: <br />Mike Grochala, Lino Lakes Community Development Director <br />Mike Ericson, Hugo City Administrator <br />Mary Capra, Centerville Mayor <br />Ben Fehrenbacher, Centerville Councilmember <br />Becky Petryk, Hugo Councilmember <br />Ann Pung-Terwedo, Washington County Senior Land Use Specialist <br />Dallas Larson, Centerville Administrator <br />Susan Young, Forest Lake Councilmember <br />Bryan Bear, Hugo Community Development Director <br />Jay Kennedy, Hugo City Engineer <br />Deb Barnes, The Citizen <br />Georgie Hilker, Metropolitan Council District Representative <br />Ray Vandeveer, Minnesota State Senator <br />Doug Fischer, Anoka County Engineer <br />Bob Dettmer, MN State Representative <br />This meeting of the I-35 W/E Coalition included representatives from City Councils of <br />Hugo, Lino Lakes, Centerville, and Forest Lake and Washington County and Anoka <br />County. <br />Update on CSAH 14/I -35E Interchange Proiect <br />Anoka County Engineer Doug Fischer provided an update on the CSAH14/I-35E <br />interchange project. This is a $18.5 million dollar project with construction to be <br />completed by June, 2011. Lunda Construction was awarded the contract with a bid of <br />$10.7M and 1 %2 year construction schedule. <br />Updates From Cities and Counties on the Comp Plan and Transportation <br />Implications <br />Each of the cities and counties provided updates on current projects and activities in their <br />respective jurisdictions. <br />Discussion on Elmcrest Avenue/24"' Avenue <br />Hugo Community Development Director Bryan Bear spoke about the need to include a <br />future study of this shared border with the Anoka County Corridor Study. <br />
