Hugo City Council Minutes for April 19, 2010 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />Schedule Annual Performance Review for City Administrator Mike Ericson <br />Mike Ericson was hired by the City of Hugo as its new City Administrator on April 17, 2000. <br />Over the past ten years, the City of Hugo has conducted an annual performance review of the <br />City Administrator with himself, Council, and City Attorney David Snyder. <br />Miron made motion, Weidt seconded, to direct staff to schedule a date and time on which to hold <br />the City Administrators annual performance review along with the completion of the <br />performance review form. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Carnelian Marine -St. Croix Watershed District Accepting Applications for Advisory Board <br />City staff has received notification from Washington County that a term for a board member on <br />the Carnelian -Marine -St. Croix Watershed District will be expiring in June. City Administrator <br />Mike Ericson announced that any resident interested in the board position should make <br />application to the City of Hugo and/or Washington County. <br />Sixth Annual Hugo Kid `n Biz Fest at Oneka Elementary on April 17, 2010 <br />The 6th Annual Kidz `n Biz was held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at <br />Oneka Elementary School. The event is presented by The Citizen and co-sponsored by the Hugo <br />Economic Development Authority and the Hugo Business Association. Over 2,200 people <br />attended this totally free event. The City of Hugo thanked the businesses in the community who <br />were there marketing their businesses as well as the dozens of volunteers including White Bear <br />Lake High School students who worked the event along with City staff and other volunteers. <br />Parks and Trails Legacy Plan Public Meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 <br />In 2008, Minnesotans passed the Clean Water Land and Legacy Act which increased sales tax to <br />provide funding for regional and state parks and trails. The MN DNR is working to plan how <br />these funds should be spent and they are seeking public input. A meeting has been scheduled for <br />Anoka and Washington County residents at the Washington County Headwaters Service Center <br />in Forest Lake on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 7-9 pm. <br />Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to schedule May 12, 2010 as a meeting to allow Council <br />attendance at the Parks and Trail Legacy Plan Public Meeting held at the Washington County <br />Headwaters Service Center in Forest Lake from 7-9 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />National Wild Turkey Federation Youth Mentoring Program <br />On Saturday, April 17, 2010, Councilmember Chuck Haas attended a luncheon that was held by <br />the Schwieters Companies for the youth, families, and mentors who are involved in the National <br />Wild Turkey Federation Youth Mentoring Program. For the past several years, Joel and John <br />Schwieter, have opened their doors for the National Wild Turkey Federation Youth Mentor <br />Hunt, which helps get many area youth involved in the outdoors. <br />
