Minutes <br />Washington County/City of Hugo <br />Library Kiosk Ribbon Cutting Ceremony <br />Hugo City Hall <br />July 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. <br />Present: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Miron <br />Absent: Weidt <br />Also Present: City Administrator Mike Ericson, City Clerk Michele Lindau, Minnesota State <br />Library Services Representative Jym Wroblewski, Washington County Library Director Patricia <br />Conley, Library Deputy Director Joyce Schneider, Library Administrative Supervisor Angela <br />Smith, Washington County Library Board Chair Norm Mickerson, Washington County <br />Commissioner Dennis Hegberg, and Board members Gary Vidlock, Bonita Sindelir, John <br />Sievert, Marie Skinner, <br />Library staff explained the self-service center includes a computer kiosk and a place to pick up <br />and return books. The kiosk, which was made possible with a Library Services and Technology <br />Act Federal Grant, will allow anybody with a library card to access the library's collections and <br />databases. Requested books will be delivered and held for pickup in lockers outside the building. <br />Staff demonstrated how the lockers worked by allowing several people in attendance to open the <br />locker with a code and receive a coffee cup from the Washington County Library. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Michele Lindau <br />City Clerk <br />
