Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 18, 2009 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to add the discussion of changing the EDA meeting date to <br />the next EDA agenda. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Workshop with the Hugo Fire Department Relief Association on May 20, 2009 <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson added this item to the agenda to provided Council with a <br />friendly reminder of the Wednesday, May 20, 2009 meeting with the Hugo Fire Department <br />Relief Association scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Hugo Fire Hall. <br />Good Neighbors Food Shelf Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 5, 2009 <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson added this item to the agenda to inform the Council there <br />would be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, June 5, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hugo Good <br />Neighbors Food Shelf at Lions Park, 5524 Upper 146th Street North. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to direct staff to schedule Friday, June 5 as a Council <br />meeting to allow Council to attend the Good Neighbors Food Shelf Ribbon Cutting ceremony at <br />4:00 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Executive Session - Litigation regarding City of Hugo vs. Parkos Construction Company <br />In 2007, the City of Hugo entered into a lawsuit against Parkos Construction for the construction <br />of the City's new Public Works facility with issues related to the roof, which was completed in <br />2005. City Attorney Dave Snyder requests that the Hugo City Council enter into executive <br />session in order to provide Council with a proposed settlement agreement. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to recess the regular meeting and go into executive <br />session. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Return to Regular Session <br />Mayor Miron called the regular session back to order. City Attorney Dave Snyder provided a <br />summary of what was discussed. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to direct staff to finalize the settlement of the roof litigation <br />in terms involving full replacement of the roof by the contractor at no cost to the City. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
