MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY OF HUGO <br />RECOGNITION CEREMONY FOR LONG TERM RECOVERY COMMITTEE <br />SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2009 AT 3:30 P.M. <br />LIONS PARK <br />Present: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />Others present: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Fire Chief Jim Compton and members of the <br />Hugo Fire Department, and Long -Term Recovery Services Committee Chair Jim Gondek and <br />members of the committee <br />Jim Gondek addressed the audience with comments about the work of the Long Term Recovery <br />Committee over the past year including the $487,000 in donations returned to the tornado <br />survivors. Jim introduced each member of the committee and Mayor Fran Miron and members <br />of the Hugo City Council presented them with a certificate of recognition for their year of <br />volunteer service to the tornado survivors. Katie Riopel presented Mayor Miron with a special <br />recognition rock with a plaque for his steady leadership after the tornado, and Council members <br />offered their comments of appreciation. <br />The ceremony concluded with many handshakes and hugs from the many tornado survivors and <br />residents who were present to lend their moral support to the committee. <br />Klein made motion, Weidt seconded, to adjourn at 4:28 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Michael A.
