MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2009 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ABSENT: Haas <br />ALSO PRESENT: Community Development Director Bryan Bear, Finance Director Ron Otkin, <br />City Engineer Jay Kennedy, City Attorney Dave Snyder, and City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />City Council Meeting of September 21, 2009 <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for September 21, 2009 meeting as <br />presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />White Bear Lake Seniors Age Wave Focus Group Meeting on September 22, 2009 <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the White Bear Lake Seniors <br />Age Wave Focus Group meeting held on September 22, 2009 in the Oneka Room as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approved the agenda as amended. <br />Add L.1 - Discussion on CSAH 14/8 and I-35 Interchange <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Award Sale of Bonds for Parkland - Paul Steinman, Sprinuted, Inc. <br />At its September 8, 2009, meeting the Hugo City Council authorized the Finance Department <br />and the City's financial advisors, Springsted, Inc., to arrange for the sale of $1,605,000 General <br />Obligation Tax Abatement Bonds. The bonds proceeds will be used to acquire parkland and <br />make improvements to Rice Lake Park. Bids were opened and tabulated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, <br />October 5th. Paul Steinman of Springsted presented the bid tabulation to the City Council. There <br />were four bids with the lowest bidder being Robert W. Baird & Company, Inc. with an interest <br />rate of 2.3429 percent on General Obligation Bonds, Series 2009B. Paul explained this was a <br />premium bid meaning the City received more than asked for. <br />
