MINUTES FOR THE JANUARY 10, 2008 JOINT WORKSHOP WITH THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE 2008 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the City Council meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />COUNCIL PRESENT: Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />ABSENT: Granger <br />PLANNING COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bailly, Rosenquist, Schumann, Weidt <br />ABSENT: Kleissler, McRoberts, Moore <br />STAFF PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Community Development Director <br />Bryan Bear, City Planner Kendra Lindahl, City Engineer Jay Kennedy <br />Open House for the 2008 Comprehensive Plan <br />City Planner Kendra Lindahl presented the draft 2008 Comprehensive Plan explaining some <br />of the key issues that had been raised during the public process and how they had been <br />addressed in the plan. The Council and Planning Commission agreed to move the eastern <br />MUSA to follow Hardwood Creek and to maintain a 20 -acre minimum lot size in the Future <br />Urban Service Areas. The Council and Planning Commission agreed to guide eastern Hugo <br />for no future sewer service and to remove all references to cluster housing in eastern Hugo. <br />120 acres of industrial land will be removed along 165th Street, and the northeast corner of <br />140th Street and TH61 will be changed from residential to commercial. The draft <br />Comprehensive Plan will be changed to reflect this information and will be considered by the <br />Planning Commission at a public hearing in February. <br />Adjournment <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded to adjourn at 9:35 p.m. <br />All aye.
