Minutes for the Transportation Forum <br />Thursday, October 16, 2008, 6:30 p.m. <br />Hugo City Hall <br />The meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Becky Petryk at 6:30 p.m.. <br />Present: Council Members Becky Petryk, Frank Puleo, Mayor Fran Miron <br />Absent: Council Members Chuck Haas and Mike Granger <br />Others Present: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Roxanne Emerson - HIS, Paul Colter - Metro Mobility, Barb <br />Green - Lion Mobile, Kelly Johnson - Lake Area Bus, and Hugo Senior Club Members <br />Each member of the panel explained more about their transportation provider and how it operates including <br />whether it provides service to Hugo, which Metro Mobility and Lake Area Bus do not. Kelly Johnson, Vice <br />Chair of the Lake Area Bus Board of Directors, reported that Lake Area Bus may want to expand their service <br />district in the future. Lion Mobile provides door-to-door service while Lake Area Bus provides curb -to -curb <br />service. HSI is the primary transportation provider for Hugo Seniors. Roger and Joyce Amundson stated that <br />they had addressed the Hugo City Council nearly two years ago and asked them to look into transportation <br />needs of the community, especially seniors living in townhomes. Many questions were asked of the panel, and <br />the speakers and the City Council Members stayed to speak individually with the attendees including members <br />of the Hugo Senior's Club. <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Michael A.
