RESOLUTION 2014 -10 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND ORDERING THE <br />PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROPOSED 165 TH <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, a Resolution adopted by the City Council on November 18, 2013, called for the City's <br />consultant City Engineer to prepare a feasibility study related to the proposed 165' <br />Street roadway and drainage improvements. The nature of the improvements include <br />roadway reconstruction, minor storm drainage, and appurtenant work; and <br />WHEREAS, such feasibility report was received by the City Council at the December 16, 2013, <br />regular City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, a motion of the City Council adopted on December 16, 2013, fixed a date for a Public <br />Hearing on the proposed improvements to be held on February 3, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and <br />the hearing was held thereon on the 3rd day of February, 2014, at which time all <br />persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. <br />2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as outlined in the feasibility report adopted the 16th day of <br />December, 2013. <br />3. The council has determined that this improvement has no relationship to the comprehensive plan. <br />4. The Council intends to reimburse itself for the cost of these improvements in part by assessments <br />to benefitted properties. <br />5. WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer <br />shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. <br />Whereupon said resolution was moved for adoption by Council member Klein and duly seconded by <br />Council member Bronk. <br />Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Bronk, Weidt <br />Council members voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this I r day of March, 2014. <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />�.
