RESOLUTION NO. 20124 <br />A RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE STATUTORY TORT LIABILITY LIMITS <br />WHEREAS, cities obtaining liability coverage from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust <br />must decide whether or not to waive the statutory tort liability limits to the extent of the coverage <br />purchased. <br />WHEREAS, statutory tort liability limits would apply regardless of whether or not the city purchases <br />optional excess liability coverage. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO: <br />1. The City of Hugo does not waive the statutory tort liability limits. <br />2. Claims to which the statutory municipal tort limits do not apply are not affected by this <br />decision. <br />Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />Council members voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 10 day of March, 2012. <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
