RESOLUTION 2011-7 <br />APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT CHANGING TEXT <br />ON TABLE 7-1: CITY OF HUGO LOCAL PUBLIC PARKS and <br />MAP 2-A: EXISTING PARKS AND OPEN SPACE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission, at their <br />meeting of October 13, 2010, recommended that the City of Hugo 2030 Comprehensive <br />Plan be amended to change text in Table 7-1: City of Hugo Local Public Parks to <br />add Irish Avenue Park, a 125 acre passive park, to add Hanifl Fields Athletic Park, an <br />active park of 25 acres and to list Rice Lake Park as a passive park of 45 acres. <br />Additionally, Map 2-A: Existing Parks and Open Space will have a text change of <br />renaming "Future Passive Park" as "Irish Avenue Park". <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo Planning Commission, at a public hearing on March 24, <br />2011, reviewed the proposed text change and recommended approval of the application <br />to the Metropolitan Council for the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment changing text on Table 7-1: City of Hugo Local Public <br />Parks and Map 2-A: Existing Parks and Open Space. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council this 0 day of April, 2011. <br />Zao <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Cler <br />
