RESOLUTION 2008 - 62 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE FONDANT AVE., FOXHILL AVE., FRANCESCA AVE., FREELAND AVE., GENEVA AVE., LOWER 147TH STREET N., 148TH STREET N., 150TH STREET N., ROADWAY, DRAINAGE, AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to direction by the Council on June 16, 2008, WSB & Associates Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Fondant Avenue, Foxhill Avenue, Francesca Avenue, Freeland Avenue, Geneva Avenue, Lower 147th Street North, 148th Street North, and 150th Street North, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file at City Hall, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specs. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that bids will be opened and that the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by Council at 9:00 a.m. on February 4, 2009 in the Council chambers of the City Hall, Hugo, MN. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payment to the clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid. Council members voting AYE: Haas, Puleo, Granger, Petryk, Miron Council members voting NAY: None Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 15th day of December, 2008.
