<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 50 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF THE SOUTH EGG LAKE ROADWAY, DRAINAGE, AND <br />UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the council on October 19, 2009, the City Engineer was <br />directed to prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the South Egg Lake Roadway, <br />Drainage, and Utility Improvements. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />it <br />improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether should best be made as proposed <br />or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as <br />recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for <br />affected parcels. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1.The council will consider the improvement of South Egg Lake Roadway, Drainage, <br />and Utility Improvements and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion of the cost of <br />the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the <br />improvement of $1,389,300. <br /> <br /> <br />2.A hearing shall be held on the 19th day of January, 20l0 at City Hall, 14669 <br />Fitzgerald Avenue North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and <br />place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be <br />heard with reference to the proposed improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />3.The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />project to be published twice in the official newspaper, with the second notice to be at least three <br />days prior to the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed, <br />the general nature of the improvements, and the total estimated cost of the improvement.
