RESOLUTION NO. 2004 — 65 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />WHEREAS, costs have been determined for the improvement of the Peloquin Industrial <br />Park consisting of the extension of municipal water, sanitary sewer, bituminous <br />pavement, curb, gutter, and storm sewer on 152nd Street from the east edge of Forest <br />Boulevard to the east edge of Freeland Avenue, Francesca Avenue from the south edge of <br />152nd Street south to the end of the cul-de-sac, and Freeland Avenue from the south edge <br />of 152nd Street south to the end of the cul-de-sac; and <br />WHEREAS, costs have been determined for the extension of municipal water and <br />sanitary sewer from 152nd Street north to the north line of Section 17; and <br />WHEREAS, the contract price for such improvement is $1,765,300.77, and the expenses <br />incurred in the making of such improvement amount to $510,621.38 so that the total cost <br />of the improvement will be $2,275,922.15. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby <br />declared to be $877,889.43 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against <br />benefited property owners is declared to be $1,398,032.72. <br />2. Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period <br />of fifteen years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the fust <br />Monday in January, 2005, and shall bear interest at the rate of 6 percent per <br />annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution. <br />3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Finance Director and City <br />Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for <br />such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the <br />district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and she <br />shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public inspection. <br />4. The City Clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />council thereof. <br />Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Puleo, Haas, Petryk and Miron. <br />Upon roll call, the following members voting NAY: None. <br />
