RESOLUTION 2002-10 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SANITARY SEWER SERVICE RATES <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust sanitary sewer service rates to adequately finance the <br />operation, maintenance, and improvement of the municipal sanitary sewer system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. Sanitary sewer service rates for residential customers, including apartment buildings, who <br />are connected to the city water system, and having the city water usage metered, shall be <br />charged the sum of $36.00 multiplied by the number of Sewer Availability Charges <br />(SAC) plus 100% of the water usage at $1.70 per thousand gallons or part thereof over <br />9,000 gallons per calendar quarter. The number of gallons charged for residential sewer <br />service shall be the same for all quarters and shall be determined by the amount of water <br />used during the winter quarter (January, February and March). <br />2. Sanitary sewer service rates for churches, educational, institutional, commercial and <br />industrial customers shall be charged the sum of $12.00 multiplied by the number of <br />Sewer Availability Charges (SAC) plus 100% of the water usage at $1.70 per thousand <br />gallons or part thereof over 3,000 gallons per calendar quarter. <br />Sanitary sewer users not connected to the city water system shall be charged the sum of <br />$39.00 multiplied by the number of Sewer Availability Charges (SAC), the amount so <br />established to be charged quarterly. In the event the private water supply or sewage flow <br />is metered, the equivalent of the additional charge defined in Paragraph 1 shall be added <br />and paid quarterly. <br />4. The sanitary sewer rates established herein shall become effective for the utility billing <br />period ending 03/31/02 and shall continue in effect until altered by resolution of the City <br />Council or until otherwise altered by operation of law. <br />Upon roll call, the following Members voting AYE: Haas, Puleo, and Miron. <br />Upon roll call, the following Members voting NAY: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 18" of March, 2002. <br />Franon, M or <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary& Creager, City Cler <br />
