RESOLUTION 2001-60 <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING OCTOBER 22ND TO NOVEMBER 23RD AS 2001 <br />MINNESOTA'S MANUFACTURING AND TECHNOLOGY MONTH <br />WHEREAS, manufacturing technology has the seconded largest total payroll of any <br />business sector in Minnesota, providing $19 billion in 1999 wages, and <br />WHEREAS, manufacturing technology produces $31.3 billion for the state economy and <br />is the third largest single share (18.1%) of our gross state product, and <br />WHEREAS, manufacturing technology exports brought nearly $10.2 billion into the <br />Minnesota economy in 2000, and <br />WHEREAS, manufacturing technology provides high skill, high wage jobs that <br />significantly contribute to Minnesota's high standard of living and economic vitality, and <br />WHEREAS, manufacturing technology contributed nearly $251 million in corporate <br />income taxes in Minnesota, more than any other business sector, and nearly one-third of <br />total corporate income taxes in 1998; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I FRAN MIRON, MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN., DO HEREBY <br />PROCLAIM OCTOBER 22 THROUGH NOVEMBER 23, 2001 TO BE: <br />MINNESOTA MANUFACTURING do TECHNOLOGYMONTH <br />In Witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of <br />Hugo, Minnesota to be affixed at the City Office, this 2^2"d day of October 2001. <br />21./ � it . <br />il <br />F"on, Mayor <br />Michael A.
