RESOLUTION 2000-14 <br />CITY OF HUGO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON <br />COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AFFIRMING THE CITY'S GENERAL PROHIBITION ON CUSTOM <br />PROCESSING AND SLAUGHTERHOUSE FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF HUGO, AND <br />DECLINING TO ADOPT FURTHER ORDINANCES TO PERMIT THEIR OPERATION OR <br />ESTABLISHMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the City prohibit the operation of custom processing or <br />slaughterhouse operations; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered adoption of ordinances which would permit <br />the operation of custom processing or slaughterhouse operations, and has completed its review of <br />the facts and records concerning these matters; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is not inclined to permit custom processing or slaughterhouse <br />operations as a conditional use or otherwise. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Based upon a review of all of the records, files, proceedings, and the <br />recommendation of the ad-hoc committee, the City Council has determined that no changes are <br />warranted to existing City Ordinances which prohibit the establishment and operation of custom <br />processing and slaughter house operations within the City. <br />2. The City declines to adopt fiuther additional ordinances permitting their operation <br />or establishment. <br />WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted in favor: <br />Walter L. Stoltzman, Becky Petryk, Chuck Haas, Debra Barnes and James A. Leroux <br />the following voted against: None. <br />WHEREUPON, said motion was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council this <br />day of June, 2000. <br />Walter L.
