RESOLUTION 2000- .2Q <br />CITY OF HUGO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OFFICIALS OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A COST <br />SHARING AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR THE <br />CENTERVILLE INTERCEPTOR EMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo, in order to provide local sewer service, has a need to <br />provide trunk sanitarysewer facilities in areas adjacent to and tributary to the proposed <br />Centerville Interceptor Improvements; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council and the City of Hugo have determined the that it <br />would be mutually beneficial to avoid construction of separate local trunk sewer and interceptor <br />facilities; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council provided capacity in their Centerville Interceptor <br />Improvements to serve the trunk sanitary sewer needs of the areas adjacent to and tributary to the <br />proposed Centerville Interceptor Improvements in the City of Hugo; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved a Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />allowing City of Hugo sanitary sewer flows to discharge to the Centerville Interceptor; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council, by action passed on March 22, 2000, authorized <br />its Regional Administrator to negotiate and execute a cost sharing agreement with the City of <br />Hugo to construct a facility to serve as a local trunk sewer and interceptor facility; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has drafted a proposed agreement; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has estimated the project cost to the City of Hugo <br />at $82,000. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement. <br />Motion to approve this resolution was made by: Becky Petryk <br />Seconded by: Debra Barnes <br />Voting AYE: Debra Barnes, Jim Leroux, Becky Petryk, Walter Stoltzman <br />Voting NAY: NONE <br />Whereas such motions was declared and adopted by the City Council this 19thday of June, 2000 <br />Attest: <br />Walter L.
