RESOLUTION 1999-4 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THAT 140TH STREET AND EVERTON <br />AVENUE BE PLACED ON THE CITY'S STREET PLAN <br />WIEREAS, the City's Comprehensive Plan guides the area south of 145th Street <br />and west of Forest Boulevard for urban development over the next 20 years; and <br />WHEREAS, this area is experiencing a substantial amount of residential and <br />industrial development; and <br />WHEREAS, new development in the area both increases the demand for roads, <br />and limits the opportunity for their construction after land is developed; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has prepared a Transportation Plan for the Clearwater Creek <br />area; and <br />WHEREAS, it beneficial to provide a guide for road development in the area; <br />NOW TIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NIINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City shall plan for the construction of 140th Street from Fenway Avenue to <br />Elmcrest Avenue along the north line of Section 30. As property develops in this area, the <br />City shall acquire an 80 foot wide road easement for the construction of a commercial <br />collector street. <br />2. The City shall plan for the construction of Everton Avenue from 140th Street to 145th <br />Street along the centerline of Section 19. As property develops in this area, the City shall <br />acquire an 80 foot wide road easement for the construction of a commercial collector <br />street. <br />Upon roll call, following members voting AYE: Barnes, Haas, Stoltzman <br />Voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 16th day of February, <br />1999. <br />Walter L.
