RESOLUTION 1999 -19 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY BY <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO CONTRIBUTE PUBLIC FUNDS TO <br />AN ANNUAL EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION DINNER. <br />WHEREAS, the services provided to the community by City employees is worthy <br />of recognition; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to promote team work, effective <br />interpersonal communications, respect and camaraderie among City employees, <br />as well as recognize the contributions all City employees make to the effective <br />operation of community services; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Washington County Minnesota, that the City's Personnel Policy be amended by <br />adding the following section: <br />5.4 In order to enhance interpersonal communications, promote <br />employee morale, and recognize the contributions of all employees to the <br />effective operation of the City, the City Council may allocate an amount up to <br />two-tenths of one percent (.002) of the total amount of all regular, full-time, and <br />part-time employees' gross wages and salaries (not including insurance, taxes, <br />or other benefits) to fund an annual employee recognition dinner, picnic, or <br />similar event. <br />Motion to approve this resolution was made by: Leroux <br />Seconded by: Barnes <br />Voting Aye: Bames, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Voting No: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 24th day of <br />November, 1999. <br />Walter L.
