RESOLUTION 1999 - 26 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SANITARY SEWER SERVICE RATES <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the current <br />sanitary sewer rates are not a true reflection of actual <br />expenses incurred by the city for the service being provided, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the sanitary sewer <br />rates to adequately finance the operation, maintenance, and <br />improvement of the municipal sanitary sewer system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Hugo, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. Sanitary sewer users connected to the city water system, <br />and having the city water usage metered, shall be charged <br />the sum of $34.00 multiplied by the number of Sewer <br />Availability Charges (SAC) plus 100% of the water usage <br />at $1.70 per thousand gallons or part thereof over 15,000 <br />gallons per calendar quarter. The number of gallons <br />charged for residential sewer service shall be the same <br />for all quarters and shall be determined by the amount of <br />water used during the fall quarter (October, November and <br />December). <br />2. Sanitary sewer users not connected to the city water <br />system shall be charged the sum of $37.00 multiplied by <br />the number of Sewer Availability Charges (SAC), the <br />amount so established to be charged quarterly. In the <br />event the private water supply or sewerage flow is <br />metered, the equivalent of the additional charge defined <br />in Paragraph 1 shall be added and paid quarterly. <br />3. The sanitary sewer rates established herein shall become <br />effective for the utility billing period ending 03/31/00 <br />and shall continue in effect until altered by resolution <br />of the City Council or until otherwise altered by <br />operation of law. <br />Upon roll call, the following Members voting AYE: Barnes, <br />Leroux, Petryk, and Stoltzman. <br />Upon roll call, the following Members voting NAY: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted <br />this 20th day of December, 1999. <br />Walter L.
