d6 4 <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Washington County, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in Hugo on the 4th day of May, <br />1998, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. <br />The following members were present: Warren Arcand, Debra Barnes, Andrew Goiffon, <br />James Leroux, Fran Miron <br />and the following were absent: NONE <br />Member Fran Miron introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 1998-18 <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON THE CREATION OF AN ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />A. WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.091 to 469.108 (the "State Law") authorizes <br />the City of Hugo to establish an economic development authority; and <br />B. WHEREAS, the State Law requires that the creation of an economic development authority <br />must be by written resolution referred to as the enabling resolution, and that before the adoption of the enabling <br />resolution, a public hearing must be held; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Hugo, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. Mme. This Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A for the purpose of holding a public nearing on a proposed enabling resolution to create an <br />economic development authority. <br />2. Notice of Public Hearing. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice <br />of the time, place and purpose of said meeting attached hereto as Exhibit A to be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation within the City once a week for two consecutive weeks, with the first publication appearing <br />not more than thirty (30) days in advance of date of the public hearing. <br />Debra Barnes <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member/and, after full <br />discussion thereof and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Warren Arcand, Debra Barnes, Andrew Goiffon, James Leroux, Fran Miron <br />and the following voted against the same: NONE <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and ado <br />Fr n, Mayor <br />
