RESOLUTION 1998-20 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />FENWAY BOULEVARD/AVENUE PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on May 4, 1998, the City <br />Engineer, OSM and Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the <br />improvement of Fenway Boulevard, between 130th Street and 140th Street, and Fenway <br />Avenue, between 140th Street and 142nd Street, by installation of bituminous surfacing, <br />and municipal sewer and water, and has presented such plans and specifications to the <br />Council for approval: <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCEL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper an <br />advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved <br />plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for one day, shall <br />specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the clerk until <br />10:00 a.m. on July 2, 1998, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council <br />chambers of the City Hall by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be <br />tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 7:00 p.m. on July 6, 1998, in the <br />Council chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned <br />during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on <br />the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the <br />Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check <br />payment to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. <br />Upon roll call, the following Council members voting AYE: Warren Arcand, Debra <br />Barnes, Andrew Goiffon, James Leroux, Fran Miron <br />Voting NAY: NONE <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and Xlopted this 1 st day bf June, 1998. <br />on, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary AeAreager, City Clerk <br />
