CITY of Hvco RECEIVED MAY 7 1997 WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 1997-8 A RESOLUTION REINSTATING THE LIQUOR LICENSE OF L.A.M. INTERNATIONAL TO OPERATE R.J.'S LOUNGE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, L.A.M. International is the holder of a City liquor license to operate the premises generally known as R.J.'s Lounge located at 13891 Forest Boulevard North, Hugo, Minnesota 55038; and, WHEREAS, the City received notification that the insurance certificate (Dram Shop insurance) for R.J.'s Lounge had lapsed; and, WHEREAS, the City's Liquor Ordinance (Section 121 Subd. 2) provides that, if Dram Shop insurance lapses, the underlying liquor license goes into an immediate state of suspension until it is reinstated by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the City has determined that sufficient insurance now exists for the operation of R.J.'s Lounge; and, WHEREAS, Classic Holdings, Inc. is in the process of purchasing R.J.'s Lounge from L.A.M. International, Inc.; and, WHEREAS, Classic Holdings has represented to the City Council that, until the background investigation check is finished for Classic Holdings, R.J.'s Lounge will continue to be operated under the direct supervision of L.A.M. International. NOW, THEREFORE, based upon the foregoing, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the liquor license for L.A.M. International to operate R.J.'s Lounge is hereby reinstated. 2. That the license reinstated herein shall continue in force and effect and be subject to all of the rules, regulations and other requirements of City Ordinances and State Statutes regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. 3. That L.A.M. International shall be in charge of the day- to-day operations of the bar during such time that L.A.M. International's liquor license is in force and effect.
