RESOLUTION 96-10 <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO NEGOTIATE <br />THE PURCHASE OF APPROXIMATELY 80 ACRES OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXPANDING THE BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo^s Comprehensive Plan calls for the City of Hugo <br />to promote the economic development of the community in order to provide <br />jobs for residents, increase the City's industrial/commercial tax base, <br />and provide for the general welfare; and, <br />WHEREAS, A number of businesses have expressed interest in locating in the <br />City of Hugo due to availability of rail service and their need to expand <br />their facilities; and.. <br />WHEREAS, a report commissioned by the City Council determined the <br />feasibility of expanding the Bald Eagle Industrial Park to provide space <br />for these businesses; <br />NOW, THEREFORE,BEIT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, That the City Administrator is directed to <br />negotiate the purchase of approximately eighty (80) acres of property <br />within the boundaries of TH 61, 140th Street, proposed Falcon Ave., and <br />the existing Bald Eagle Industrial Park; and <br />FURTHERMORE, The City Administrator is directed to negotiate sales <br />contracts with businesses having expressed interest in locating in the <br />Park; and <br />FURTHERMORE, That all such proposed agreements shall be conditioned upon <br />the City entering into an agreement with the Minnesota Commercial Railroad <br />for continued rail service to the Park, and also Council review and <br />approval of all agreements. <br />Council members voting AYE: Tim Agness, Debra Barnes, Andrew Goiffon, <br />James Leroux, Fran Miron <br />Voting NAY: NONE <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passw��and adspted this 16th day of <br />September, 1996. <br />ATTEST: <br />� <br />Fran t1riron, Mayor <br />
