RESOLUTION 1992-26 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR HENNA AVENUE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of <br />Henna Avenue from County Road #4 (170th Street) north to 180th Street, by <br />the improvement of bituminous surfacing, bids were received complying with <br />the advertisement: Valley Paving ($145,382.13), Bituminous Construction <br />($154,106.44), Tower Asphalt ($167,797.01), and Aero Asphalt <br />($191,471.74); <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, 4105 85th Avenue N., Bldg. B, <br />Suite 103, Brooklyn Park, MN., is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract between Valley Paving and the City of Hugo for the <br />improvement of Henna Avenue, between 170th Street and 180th Street, by <br />the improvement of bituminous surfacing according to the plans and <br />specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk, within 90 days of this approval pending any <br />assessment appeals. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all <br />bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of <br />the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract has been signed. <br />Upon roll call, voting AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />Voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 21st day of <br />September, 1992. <br />Ma6� Clerk <br />
