RESOLUTION 1991-3 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #1990-1v PHASE 2 <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on <br />November 26, 19900 the City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto, has prepared plans <br />and specifications for the improvement of 130th Street from County State <br />Aid Highway #8A west to Irish Avenue, Irish Avenue from 130th Street south <br />to County State Aid Highway #7, 125th Street from Goodview Avenue east to <br />Homestead Drive, 132nd Street from Goodview Avenue east to County Road <br />#8A, Homestead Avenue from 132nd Street north to 147th Street, Henna <br />Avenue (aka 128th Street) from 132nd Street south to Hilo Avenue, and Hilo <br />Avenue from Henna Avenue (aka 128th Street) south to 125th Street, by the <br />improvement of bituminous surfacing and related improvements, and has <br />presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGOv <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made part hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2. The City Clerk shall prepare, and cause to be inserted in the official <br />paper and Construction Bulletinv an advertisement for bids upon the <br />making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. <br />The advertisement for bids shall be published for 10 days, shall specify <br />the work to be done, shall state that bids will be considered by the <br />Council at 7:00 PM, on May 200 1991 in the Council chambers of the City <br />Hall,, and that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 2:00 PM an <br />May 7. 1991, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and Administrator, will then <br />be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council. Any bidder whose <br />responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given <br />an opportunity to address the Council an the issue of responsibility. No <br />bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk, and <br />accompanied by a cash depositv cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check, payable to the Clerk. for 5% of the amount of such bid. <br />Upon roll call, the following members voted AYE: Brunotte, Jesinski, <br />McAllister, Miron, Stoltzman <br />Voted NAY: NONE <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1st day of <br />April.. 1991. <br />Walter L.
