RESOLUTION 1990-31 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO PARTICIPATE <br />WHEREAS, under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1973, one of the <br />objectives set forth by the Department of Transportation is the <br />conformance of all traffic control devices to the Minnesota Manual of <br />Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MMUTCD); and <br />WHEREAS, funds are available through the Federal Highway <br />Administration for the installation of regulatory and warning <br />signs/devices; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, is desirous <br />of bringing the traffic control devices on streets and roads located <br />within its geographical limits into conformance with Minnesota standards; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED THAT: <br />1. The Participant will comply with the conditions set forth in the <br />Project Description. The Participant will remove, replace, or install <br />all regu1artory and warning sings, delineators, and object markers <br />necessary to comply with Minnesota standards (MMUTCD) as determined <br />through an approved inventory of inplace non -electrical traffic <br />control devices. <br />2. The State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation (MN/DOT), will <br />administer the program, and will be responsible for documentation <br />requirements as specififed by the Federal Highway Administration. <br />Reimbursement (90% of the eligible total costs) will be based on <br />approval of the field inspection, and the materials certification, and <br />satisfactory review of claims documents. The Participant will be <br />responsible for the remaining 10% of the eligibile total costs. <br />3. The Participant agrees to maintain all such material installations in <br />satisfactory condition. <br />4. The U.S. Department of Transporation Regulations on Non -Discrimination <br />are to be complied with by the Participant. Refer to Appendix A, <br />"Nondiscrimination Regulations" and "Disadvantaged Business Enterprise <br />Upon roll call, the following members voted AYE: <br />Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />Voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passad and <br />October, 1990. , 7 <br />M <br />McAllister, Jesinski, <br />pte0 this 15th day of <br />, Mayor <br />
