RESOLUTION 1987-57 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR HOMESTEAD <br />DRIVE PROJECT #1987-30-0. <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on <br />September 8, 1987, the city engineer, Howard Kuusisto, has prepared plans <br />and specifications for the improvement of 125th Street from County Road 10 <br />north to Homestead Drive, and Homestead Drive from 125th Street North to <br />130th Street North, and 130th Street from Homestead Drive east to its <br />termination, by the improvement of bituminous surfacing, and has presented <br />such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br />paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement <br />under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall <br />be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids and the bid responsibility of the bidders will be considered <br />by the Council at 7:00 PM on January 4, 1988, in the council chambers <br />of the city hall, and that bids will be received by the city clerk <br />until 12:00 noon on December 30, 1987, at which time they will be <br />publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall, by the city <br />clerk, and will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the City <br />Council as stated herein. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br />opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No <br />bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check payable to the Hugo City Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid. <br />Upon roll call, the following members voted AYE: Theodora Peltier, Arthur <br />Potts, Robert Olson, Deane Vail, George Atkinson <br />Upon roll call, the following members voted NAY: NONE <br />ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS 16TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,,1987. <br />injo6n, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary,n Creager, C rj <br />Clerk <br />
