RESOLUTION 1985-5 <br />A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF MARCH 10-16, 1985, <br />AS GIRL SCOUT WEEK IN THE CITY OF HUGO. <br />WHEREAS, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. observes the 73rd anniversary of its <br />founding on March 12, 1985; and <br />WHEREAS, Since 1912 Girl Scouting has helped more than 49 million members <br />enjoy wholesome activities; and <br />WHEREA-% Girl Scouting is an important way for girls to become self-reliant, <br />productive, and self-confident women; and <br />WHEREAS, Girl Scouting is an investment in tomorrow's leadership; and <br />WEDEREAS, This year, Girl Scouts welcome their newest members, kindergarten -age <br />Daisy Girl Scounts; and <br />WHEREAS, Girl Scout Week will be celebrated in our community frain March 10 to 16; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. Michael McAllister, by virtue of the authority vested <br />in me as Mayor of the City of Hugo, hereby proclaim March 10 through 16, 1985, <br />as Girl Scount Week in the City of Hugo. <br />I do further call upon all citizens of Hugo to recognize and support the con- <br />tributions made by Girl Scouts and adult volunteers toward improving the <br />quality of life in our corm mity. <br />ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS DAY OF 1985. <br />—4 . . x4d / C <br />el McAllister, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary 12VCreager, City C k <br />
