RESOLUTION 1981-11 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT, IN THE CITY <br />OF HUGO, A SPEED LIMIT OF 30 MILES PER HOUR, ON INGERSOLL <br />AVENUE NORTH FROM COUNTY ROAD 10 (122ND STREET) TO DEAD <br />END APPROXIMATELY 4/5'S MILE, AND HOMESTEAD DRIVE FROM <br />125TH STREET NORTH TO THE DEAD END. <br />The City Council of the City of Hugo determines that: <br />WHEREAS, excessive speed of automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles, <br />on Ingersoll Avenue and Homestead Drive is endangering the lives of <br />children crossing these streets, children riding bicyles, adults riding <br />bicycles, from the area and from outside of this area, and people riding <br />horses and people walking. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that if these two streets were under <br />a controlled speed, the danger of using the streets would be lessened; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Washington County Highway De- <br />partment be authorized to have said streets posted; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the speed limit hereby be set forth <br />as a thirty (30) mile per hour zone. <br />ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS 17th DAY OF August , 1981. <br />Marvin LaValle, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />16 <br />Carol A.
