RESOLUTION No. 1977-19 <br />Of The <br />City of Hugo , Washington County, <br />Minnesota. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY TRANSMITTING THE ATTACHED <br />APPLICATION FOR A LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT AS PER THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ADOPTED GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICATION, <br />AWARD AND DISBURSEMENT OF SAID FUNDS AS AUTHORIZED BY PROVI- <br />SIONS OF THE METROPOLITAN LAND PLANNING ACT ADOPTED BY' THE <br />STATE LEGISLATURE. <br />The City Council of Hugo , Washington , County, <br />Minnesota determines that: <br />WHEREAS, the State Legislature and the Metropolitan <br />Council have made certain local planning assistance plan- <br />ning funds (grants-in-aid) available; and <br />WHEREAS, it is mandatory that the City of Hugo <br />do planning as per provisions of the Metropolitan Land Plan- <br />ning Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provided Guidelines <br />for the Administration of Planning Assistance Grants; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hu&o has incurred and <br />will continue to concur various planning expenses as required <br />by State Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, financial assistance is needed to properly plan <br />for the future environment of our Community in the general <br />public interest. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />(1 ) The City council of Hugo requests that <br />the Metropolitan Council provide the planning assistance <br />funds as allocated and authorized. <br />(2) On passage and adoption, the City Clerk shall be directed <br />to forward a copy of this Resolution to The Washington County <br />Planning Dept., and the Chairman of the Metropolitan Council <br />prior to Oct. 28th. <br />
