RESOLUTION NO. 1978-23 <br />A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE PLAN FOR ESTABLISHING A <br />BICYCLE PATH ADJACENT TO THE ROAD AROUND THE NORTH <br />END OF BALD EAGLE LAKE. <br />The City Council of the City of Hugo determines that: <br />WHEREAS, the plans for Otter Lake Regional Park has been a <br />source of controversy in the Metropolitan System Statement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan System Statement for the City of <br />Hugo has been appealed in the reconcilliation procedure provided <br />in the Land Planning Act; and <br />WHEREAS, efforts to settle the issues under consideration in <br />the reconcilliation procedure have included extensive consideration <br />of limitations on the plans for the portion of the Otter Lake <br />Regional Park within the City of Hugo; and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of <br />Hugo to reconcile Otter Lake Regional Park issue; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City of Hugo concurs in the proposal to establish a <br />A <br />bicycle path adjacent to the roadway around the north end of Bald <br />Eagle Lake, preferably within the existing right-of-way, said <br />bicycle path to comprise the total connecting link segment for <br />the Otter Lake Regional Park within the City of Hugo, said bicycle <br />path to be constructed by funding of a grant from the Metropolitan <br />Council. <br />2. The City of Hugo retains the right to supeervise any and <br />all additional construction involving said bicycle path to insure <br />r <br />conformance of construction standards of the City. <br />3. The City of Hugo will retain ownership of all existing or <br />additional right-of-way. <br />
