RESOLUTION NO. 1975-29 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT, IN THE CITY <br />OF HUGO, A SPEED LIMIT OF 30 MILES AN HOUR, ON EVERTON <br />AVENUE NORTH AND ETHAN AVENUE NORTH FROM 120TH. STREET <br />TO ELMCREST AVENUE NORTH. <br />The City Council of the City of Hugo determines that: <br />WHEREAS, excessive speed of automobiles, trucks and <br />motorcycles, on Everton Avenue North and Ethan Avenue North from <br />120th. Street to Elmcrest Avenue North is endangering the lives <br />of children crossing these streets, children riding bicycles, <br />adults riding bicycles, from the area; and from outside of this <br />area, and people operating farm equipment, people riding horses, <br />people walking and children going to and from the beach areas. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that if these two streets <br />were under a controlled speed, the danger of using the streets <br />would be lessened. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Washington County <br />Highway Department be authorized to have posted said streets. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the speed limit hereby be <br />set forth as a thirty (30) mile an hour zone. <br />Adopted and passed by the City Council of Hugo, <br />'',of July _ <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK, CITY OF HUGO <br />this <br />
