RESOLUTION NO. 74- 10 A RESOLUTION LIMITING THE DURATION OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS FOR THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA. The City Council of the City of Hugo determines that: WHEREAS, regular Council meetings of the City Council have been established to be held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each calendar month, the regular meetings to commence at 7:00 P.M.; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that the procedures of the City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota be at all times open to the public; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3, entitled "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RULES FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA," does not establish a termination time for regular meetings of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rules for the organiza- tion and procedure of the City Council of Hugo, Minnesota, set forth in Resolution No. 3, entitled "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RULES FOR THE OR- GANIZATION AND PROCEDURES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA," be, and are hereby amended as follows: Section 1. MEETING ADJOURNMENT TIME. The regular meetings of the City Council shall be adjourned no later than 11:00 P.M. Section 2. UNFINISHED AGENDA ITEMS. Any agenda items not com- pleted or acted upon at the time of adjournment shall be carried forward to the next regular meeting of the City Council, unless referred to an earlier called Special Meeting of the Council. Section 3. SUSPENSION OF ADJOURNMENT TIME LIMIT. In cases of emergency, the adjournment limitation set forth in Section 1, may be tem- porarily suspended by a unanimous vote of the Council menbers present, in no event' less than Four -Fifths of the Council, and the suspension duly noted in the Minutes of the Meeting. Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution becomes effective from and after its adoption and passage at a regular City Council meeting. Adopted and passed by the Council this_day of April, 1974.
