MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 8, 2007 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson and Parks Commission Chair Roger Clarke <br />INTRODUCTION OF CANDIDATES <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson explained that the City of Hugo had received applications from <br />three very qualified applicants. The two vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission were <br />created by the resignations of Kitty Cheesebrow and Charles Kirk. Council interviewed Russ <br />Schmidt and Melissa Parker, as well as considering the application from Anthony Groff, who was <br />not able to attend the interview. After discussion, Council agreed that all three would do a very <br />good job and instructed City Administrator Mike Ericson to place the names of Russ Schmidt and <br />Melissa Parker on the next agenda for formal appointment. Staff will contact and meet with <br />Anthony Groff, as well. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn at 8:14 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Michael A.
