MINUTES FOR HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 2, 2007 Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron City Administrator Mike Ericson, CD Director Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, PW Director Chris Petree, Associate Planner Rachel Simone, Senior Engineering Tech Scott Anderson, and City Clerk Mary Ann Creager FINANCIAL ADVISORS: Paul Steinman and Mikaela Huot (Springsted Inc.) BOND COUNSEL: Jennifer Boulton (Briggs and Morgan) CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH 19, 2007 Puleo made motion, Petryk seconded, to Council approve the minutes for the March 19, 2007 meeting as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. CITY COUNCIL JOINT WORKSHOP WITH PLANNING COMMISSION ON MARCH 26, 2007 RE STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES Puleo made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the March 26, 2007 joint meeting with the Planning Commission on the storage of recreational vehicles proposed ordinance as presented. All aye. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Add J.3 - Approve Control Burn for City Hall Rain Gardens Add M2 — Note Town Hall Meeting with Representative Matt Dean on April 7, 2007, 11:00 am, at Hugo City Hall Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the agenda for April 2, 2007 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. ST. PAUL WINTER CARNIVAL KING BOREAS REX (DON SCHOELLER) As Council is aware, Hugo resident Don Schoeller was elected as the 2007 St. Paul Winter Carnival King Boreas Rex. Included in his job duties, Don has made dozens of appearances at which he has promoted the Winter Carnival activities and events. King Don and his court attended the Council meeting in order to provide the public more information about his role as a public ambassador and the promotion of events and activities for the St. Paul Winter Carnival. Don was also one of the sponsors for the City's 2006 Centennial Celebration. Klondike Kate showed her stuff and a good time was had by all.
