MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 23.2007 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson <br />ABSENT: Frank Puleo <br />This special City Council meeting was called to conduct interviews to fill the current vacancy on <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />INTRODUCTION OF CANDIDATES <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson introduced the candidates to the City Council: Jim Taylor; <br />Mathew Rauschendorfer; Noel Schmidt; Dan Milbrandt; and David Strub. He stated that staff was <br />very pleased with the quality and the number of residents who want to volunteer to serve on the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission. The Hugo City Council then conducted interviews of each of <br />the five candidates who would replace Tony Groff, who moved out of the City, who replaced <br />Jennifer May, who moved out of the City. After completion of the interviews, Council discussed <br />the applicants stating that they too were very pleased with the quality. Council agreed to discuss <br />the appointment of the new commissioner at its August 6, 2007 Council meeting, as well as the <br />creation of an alternate commissioner position. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at 9:25 pm. <br />All aye.
