MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 5, 2006
Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 8:30 am.
PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron
City Administrator Mike Ericson and City Attorney Dave Snyder
This special meeting was called to discuss the performance review of the City Administrator.
Mayor Miron asked Mike Ericson if he wanted the meeting closed or open, and he said it
made no difference, so the meeting remained opened as a public meeting.
City Administrator Mike Ericson provided Council with an overview of the past year's
Council Focus Goals, citing some significant projects accomplished and groundbreaking
ceremonies attended by Council and staff.
Mayor Miron then reviewed the City Administrator's evaluation form, which included 18
different rating categories. Mayor Miron then began the performance review and referred to
written evaluation forms submitted by Council members Chuck Haas and Becky Petryk, as
well as verbal comment from the other Council members and himself.
Mayor Miron requested that City Attorney Dave Snyder summarize the Council's evaluation
of the City Administrator, which he did. Council agreed that the Administrator's
performance over the past year meets expectations as prescribed in the evaluation form.
The Council then briefly discussed the proposed storm water utility fee that Council member
Chuck Haas requested. After Council member Haas explained that he met with Finance
Director Ron Otkin to discuss the fee and agreed that Council should not implement the fee.
No action was taken by Council.
ADJOURNMENT
Petryk made motion, Maas seconded, to adjourn at 10:18 am.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Michael A. Ericson
City Administrator
