City Council meeting of January 3, 2005 <br />Page 4 <br />Consent Agenda appointed Dave Schumann as Chair of the Planning Commission for 2005. <br />APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHAIR FOR PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Council appointed Sandy Malaski as the Vice Chair for the PC for the past three years. She has <br />served the Commission well in this role. Sandy will continue her service on the Commission until a new <br />commissioner is selected. When her replacement is appointed by Council, Mayor Miron will <br />recommend, with input from Chair Dave Schumann, a planning Commissioner for the Vice Chief <br />position. Adoption of the Consent Agenda appointed Sandy Malaski as Vice Chair of the PC until such <br />time as her replacement is selected. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for January 3, 2005 as presented. <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR BALD <br />EAGLE LAKE <br />For many years, the City has participated in supplemental law enforcement coverage on Bald Eagle <br />Lake. The coverage is from January 1 to December 31, 2005, and it includes a total not to exceed 160 <br />hours for winter patrol coverage. The cost of services to the City shall not exceed 25% of total billings. <br />Total billings for the 2005 winter patrol service will not exceed $6,160. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the Supplemental Law Enforcement Agreement with the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department for enforcement on Bald Eagle Lake. <br />APPROVE SCHEDULING OF I-35 W/E COALITION MEETING FOR 01/20/05 <br />At the September 23, 2004 I-35 WE aka Tri -Cities Coalition meeting, members selected January 20, <br />2005 as the next regularly scheduled meeting of the coalition. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the next meeting of the I-35 WE Coalition for January 20, 2005 at 7:00 pm, in the Oneka <br />Room. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST #8 FROM PARKOS CONSTRUCTION FOR WORK <br />COMPLETED ON THE NEW PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br />The City has received pay request #8 from Parkos Construction for work completed to date on the public <br />works facility. City architect Bob Russek from ESG Architects and PW Director Chris Petree have <br />reviewed the pay request and found it to be consistent with the work completed to date. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved payment to Parkos Construction in the amount of $140,620.73. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST #2 FROM ARNT CONSTRUCTION FOR WORK COMPLETED <br />ON THE NEW PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br />The City has received pay request #2 from Arnt Construction for work completed to date on the new <br />public works facility. Senior Engineering Technician Scott Anderson and PW Director Chris Petree <br />have reviewed the pay request and found it to be consistent with the work completed to date. Adoption <br />
